NY SPRING 2010 FASHION WEEK REVIEW

Menswear, motifs, bows, mixed patterns, boyfriend jackets, slouchy pants and off-the shoulder are just a few themes I saw running through NY Spring 2010 Fashion week.  I feel that we are flashing back to the early nineties FOR SURE!  I didn't think there was anything really interesting about fashion in the 90's until Patricia Fields came on as the Stylist for SITC and then it brought all the FUN back into fashion for the early 2000's ...we seem to have lost our steam, mojo WHAT have you ????  Maybe it is the recession making all the designers in a funk or just budgets are cut WAY BACK...which i am sure they are ...but PEOPLE FASHION MUST LIVE ON....and we had some LIVE ON moments from a couple of those designers I personally love....

Advice to the everyday women - IT IS OK TO MIX PRINTS....in fact that is IN....pile on the oversized necklaces...like we say in TEXAS THE BIGGER THE BETTER, can I get an AMEN?  Dust off  your sholder pads and life flight them into  your tops and blazers for fall...THAT'S RIGHT I SAID BLAZERS.....Suit dressing is BACKKKK!!!  Belting oversized mens shirts and oversize tees are THE THING....You are suppose to be SLOUCHY...it is IN as well....I personally love the slouchy look as it hides all the lumps and makes you look skinner than  you are....which is always a plus for me.....until next time....VIVA LA BLOOM!
